Although this wonderful science is one that will change your life for the better, I won’t lie, it can be a lot to digest even for a behaviour analyst. As a parent, it can be even more of a challenge. Welcome to Parent’s Cove! This is your one stop shop for information and answers to inquiries you may have or information that you may seek.
We all become overwhelmed sometimes as parents. If there is information out there that we can access without having to read an entire book, navigate an entire website or my most dreaded, read an entire research paper, then sign me up! Anything to make life a bit easier. As a mom, I don’t always have time to dissect literature; I just want answers. And as long as the information is coming from a credible source, I am confident in the background information (so leave it out).
What is Deborah’s story? And most importantly, what qualifies her to offer information in a blog. True, now a-days it seems anyone and everyone create blogs on essentially anything, but this also seems to be the way things are going, so I figured I may as well jump-on-the bandwagon. Let me start by saying that I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, I am a part-time Professor, I am mom, I am passionate about ABA, and I am excited to share information via this platform. I am a consulting Behaviour Analyst within York Region and have been in the field for over a decade. When I am not practicing ABA, I like to spend my time with family. I am blessed to have married my best friend and we have a beautiful 5-year old daughter, Chloe. She is full of life and keeps me busy.
